The Woodbridge Public Library is committed to promoting authors and creators in Woodbridge Township and is pleased to help share their works with the community. Authors and creators who live within Woodbridge Township, or whose works are based in Woodbridge Township, are encouraged to donate a copy of their published work for consideration of inclusion in the library's collection based on this commitment.
Guidelines for submission to the local author collection
- Locality. Authors and creators must reside in Woodbridge Township, or the contents of their work must be based in Woodbridge Township.
- Currency. The work must be reasonably current from the time of submission. Older works will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Acquisition. Authors and creators must donate a copy of the work for consideration.
- Format and condition. Materials must be bound and formatted in a way that enables circulation, ease of use, and durability. The library will accept only physical formats. Materials must be in new condition.
Conditions
As with all materials, the library will apply the same inclusion and retention guidelines as stated in the general collection development policy. The library reserves the right to include or exclude any title from the collection for any reason and reserves the right to remove previously included titles in the same manner.
