newspapers

Before Facebook and Twitter, the local paper was the place to get the scoop on your neighbors. Historical newspapers are indispensable to genealogy research and learning about your ancestors and their community. Join us November 29 at 7PM for a program that will highlight the importance of this resource as well as the range of details that can be discovered, including how and where to access digitized newspapers, plus search techniques and tips.

Registration recommended but not required! Please register here or call 732-634-4450. This program will take place in person, at the Main Library.

Laura Cubbage-Draper has been engaged in genealogical research for over 20 years. A New Jersey native with deep Pennsylvania and German roots, she is a genealogical researcher, presenter, and volunteer. What began as an interest in her own family history, grew into research projects for friends and a local historical society.
