Mayor John E. McCormac Announces Ground-Breaking of Woodbridge History Museum
Mayor John E. McCormac, along with the Woodbridge Township Historical Association, announced the ground-breaking and start-of-renovations at the site of the future home of the Woodbridge Township History Museum located at 86 Green Street in the heart of historic Woodbridge proper. Originally known as Woodbridge Avenue, Green Street was a popular thoroughfare from the early 1800s and served as the address of many prosperous and prominent Woodbridge citizens. Perhaps named for the adjacent green fields and canopy of stately trees, the scenery has not changed much in over a century, with today’s elegant Victorian-era homes occupied by a mix of families and business offices – and soon the Woodbridge Township History Museum. The Museum is set to open in the Summer of 2020.
