AVENEL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Avenel Performing Arts Center (APAC) rolled-out the Red Carpet and welcomed theatre-goers with a Grand Opening VIP reception. The APAC - the region’s newest performing arts center specially designed for theatre, stage productions and special performances – features seating for 200 patrons, a separate performance room and pre-function lobby area that opens to exterior space for larger gatherings and events. APAC also features Curtains Restaurant – a stand-alone dining destination available for catered pre-performance and special events.

MATT & LAINIE: New York-based duo, guitarist Matt Wolfe and vocalist Lainie Munro, bring together their experiences working in the worlds of jazz, theater, and pop to present unique and beautiful arrangements of beloved standards and contemporary songs in their two shows.
Featuring Lainie on vocals and Matt performing some of the most famous powerhouse guitar solos of all time, Legends of Guitar pays tribute to some of the most legendary guitarists including Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry, George Benson, Joe Walsh, and many more. This show was first presented as a headliner show on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in 2015 and 2016.
Their second show, Songbook, celebrates great music from the worlds of jazz and Broadway featuring beloved standards from the likes of Rodgers & Hart, Henry Mancini, and more.

May is Senior Month in Woodbridge Township!!! This year, we’re jam-packed with informative, educational, recreational and entertainment activities specially geared to our Senior residents. Senior Month encourages Senior residents to engage in health and fitness activities, attend informative programs and seminars, participate in mind-stimulating activities such as Rummikub and Sudoku competitions, art and music classes, entertainment events, senior receptions and community engagements. The Woodbridge Township Department of Health & Human Services, the Multi-Service Program on Aging & Senior Services, the Department of Recreation & Resident Services, the Woodbridge Police Department, the Department of Public Works, the Evergreen and Sycamore Senior Centers, the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), the Woodbridge Township Public Library and our many senior organizations and associations participate and sponsor the many free programs and events, educational and informational sessions. Calling All Dogs & Cats!!! Rabies Clinic set for May 7 & 8

The Woodbridge Department of Health & Human Services - Animal Control Division and the Woodbridge Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center are offering FREE rabies inoculations for Woodbridge Township dogs and cats on Tues., May 7 and Wed., May 8 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza (adjacent to the Main Library and Woodbridge High School). Pet license, proof of prior rabies inoculation and spaying/neutering certificate must be presented at time of inoculation (except for first-time pet inoculations). The Health Department will also host a pet micro-chip clinic on both days - Fee: $25.00. Adults must accompany the pet. Dogs must be leashed and cats must be contained in a closed carrier. The Club at Woodbridge is now part of the Woodbridge Township Recreation Family – and we’re offering an incredible menu of health, wellness, fitness and entertainment programs, events and happenings to members and guests!!!
The Club is the perfect complement to the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) right across Main Street. Both facilities have a pool, running track, cardio rooms, weight rooms, concession areas and child care functions. Both run summer camps for kids and personal training and other amenities. The Club has racquetball and badminton, while the WCC has a hockey rink, roller rink, mini-golf course and batting cages.
