It’s Official!!! The Club at Woodbridge is now part of the Woodbridge Township Recreation Family – and we’re offering an incredible menu of health, wellness, fitness and entertainment programs, events and happenings to members and guests!!!
The Club is the perfect complement to the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) right across Main Street. Both facilities have a pool, running track, cardio rooms, weight rooms, concession areas and child care functions. Both run summer camps for kids and personal training and other amenities. The Club has racquetball and badminton, while the WCC has a hockey rink, roller rink, mini-golf course and batting cages.

WPD Encourages Safe Trick-or-Treating During Haunted Halloween Halloween Curfew on Tues., Oct. 30 & Wed., Oct. 31

The Woodbridge Police Department (WPD) will be watching out for Ghosts & Goblins as part of special Halloween patrols. The WPD will enforce a special Halloween curfew on the evenings of Tues., Oct. 30 (Mischief Night) and Wed., Oct. 31 (Halloween). While scary fun is great, special safety reminders and precautions will be in place in order to keep Township Trick-or-Treaters out of harm’s way. The curfew is in place from 7:00 PM to sunrise both days and applies to everyone under the age of 18 (unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult). Police will issue a warning and instructions to return home to first-time violators; second offense violators will be taken into custody and held until picked up by a parent or guardian.

Woodbridge Zombie & Ghost Walk ‘Haunts’ Main Street

Calling All Vampires & Zombies: The Woodbridge Zombie walk steps-off on Saturday (Oct. 20) at 5:00 PM from the Board of Education Administration building (some say it’s really haunted) on School Street. Prizes for the best Vampire & Zombie costume and make-up. The Woodbridge Ghost Walk returns with an all-new, fun and fascinating 40-minute guided tour into the spirit-filled past of Woodbridge Township. Ghost Walk explores a side of Woodbridge not typically found in textbooks – the Township’s rich history of ghosts, curious incidents and unexplained occurrences from Colonial days to the present. Costumed guides and actors tell the stories of New Jersey’s first European settlers, Revolutionary War heroes, members of Victorian society and much, much more!!! Meet the spirits of both famous and infamous local residents of the town’s past. Ghost tours haunt Main Street starting at 6:30 PM. Tours leave every 15 minutes from Parker Press Park (400 Rahway Ave. across from Berkeley College). Tour Tickets: $8.00 per person (strollers FREE).

Recreation Department Hosts Halloween ‘Hauntings’ & ‘Spooktacular’ Events!!!

Woodbridge Township is under the spell of Haunted Halloween with special Township-wide Spooktacular events to celebrate the annual recognition of All Hollows Eve. The Department of Recreation has a line-up of Halloween events that are not to be missed!!! The Haunted Halloween Hay Ride & Family Fun Festival is set for Thurs., Oct. 25 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. at Parker Press Park... Beware of the Ghosts & Goblins along the way!!! The Woodbridge High School Choir hosts their annual Haunted House on Sat., Oct. 20 and Sat., Oct 27. Happy Haunted House from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The SCARY Haunted House opens at 8:00 to 10:00 PM. The WHS Haunted House is at the old A&P store (across from WHS.) The Halloween Trunk-or-Treat & Costume Contest returns to the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) on Sun., Oct. 28 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. Show off your Halloween costume while Trunk-or-Treating at the WCC. Prizes for funniest, scariest and most original costume. And, stick around for the Halloween Drive-In Movie – Hotel Transylvania II – showing at dusk in the WCC parking lot.

Explore the Mayor’s Health Expo on Saturday

The Department of Health & Human Services and the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign host the annual Mayor’s Health Expo on Saturday (Oct. 20) from 9:00 AM to Noon at the Woodbridge Health Center (2 George Frederick Plaza.) Plan to stop by the Health Expo for FREE or reduced-cost health screening tests which help monitor medical conditions and provide vital patient-care information.

Seasonal flu shots are available (FREE to Medicare patients; $15.00 for non-Medicare). Health Expo visitors will find information on health-related topics including Social Security, Medicare, pharmacy assistance, substance abuse, domestic violence, and more. Area health care providers and medical assistance agencies will be on-hand to provide information on health-care products, services and programs. Free cooking demonstrations by Wegmans target healthy diet and menu selections.

Plan to attend when 50 volunteers receive the Mayor’s Community Volunteer Award for distinguished community service. The Woodbridge Township community is served by volunteers helping neighbors in countless ways each and every day - volunteer service that includes church and community, student tutoring, athletic coaches, hospital aides, senior resident assistance, clothing and food drive coordinators, first aid and fire squad members serving and assisting area homeless, participating in the annual Tooling Around the Township home repair program and many more community service endeavors and programs.
