September 11, 2018 represented the 17th Anniversary of the "Attack on America." On that fateful day in 2001, nine Woodbridge Township residents fell victim, never to return to their families - Cmdr. Patrick S. Dunn, USN, Edward Allegretto, Marlyn Bautista, John Adam Larson, James Lynch, Charles Mauro, Tonyell McDay, Narender Nath, and Saukara Velamuri.

 The Remembrance Memorial at Woodbridge Town Hall stands as a tribute to the residents who perished in the September 11, 2001 Attack on America.
|
Woodbridge Township First Responders - Fire Departments, First Aid Squads, Woodbridge Police Department, Office of Emergency Management, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), residents and visitors attended the Interfaith Memorial Service to honor and remember those Woodbridge Township residents who perished and to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of the Woodbridge First Responder Community who risked their lives and sacrificed on that tragic day. Members of the Woodbridge Interfaith Community Council offered readings, remembrances and prayers, along with the Woodbridge High School Choir performing the National Anthem, God Bless America and Amazing Grace.

Taste New Jersey’s finest local handcrafted beers at the 12th Annual Central Jersey Charity BeerFest on Sat., Sept. 22 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Parker Press Park in downtown Woodbridge. Sponsored by the J.J. Bitting Brewing Company of Woodbridge, the Central Jersey BeerFest is bigger and better than ever - with more New Jersey breweries offering specialty brews, live music and entertainment, food vendors, and a whole lot more. Admission for the festival is $30.00 for adult “beer samplers” and $15 for “non-beer samplers.” Children under 12 are free. Admission includes a two ounce official BeerFest sampler glass and free parking. Contact J.J. Calling All Dogs & Cats: FREE Rabies Clinic at Health Center

The Woodbridge Department of Health & Human Services - Animal Control Division is offering a FREE rabies clinic for Woodbridge Township dogs and cats on Mon., Sept. 17 and Tues., Sept. 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza (adjacent to the Main Library and Woodbridge High School). The Animal Shelter veterinarian staff will be on-site to administer pet micro-chips - $20.00 fee includes micro-chip, lifetime pet i.d. and registration with Home Again, the national pet recovery database. Micro-chipping your pet ensures their safe return and provides owners with peace of mind.
