We’re having a party... and everyone is invited!!!  Woodbridge is celebrating its 350th Sesquarcentennial Anniversary and we’re kicking-off the year-long celebration with SummerFest 2018 - a FREE Concert on Wed., June 20 to open the Summer concert series!!! The region’s hottest band – THE NERDS – take the stage at 7:30 PM at Woodbridge High School.  Warm-up performance by The Dead Cowboys. Food vendors and Much, Much More!!!

And the fun doesn’t stop with our concerts!!! Plan to shop the Farmer’s Market at Parker Press Park. The Independence Day Fireworks extravaganza “blasts-off” on July 3 from Alvin Williams Park in Sewaren!!! Mayor’s Summer Concert Series Ready to “Rock ‘n’ Roll"

The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series opens with Golden Oldies Doo Wop Monday and Tribute Band Rock n’ Roll Tuesday!!!  The incredible lineup of classic “Oldies” opens on Mon., June 25 with everyone’s favorite – The Duprees. Tribute Band Tuesday takes the stage on Tues., June 26 with Refugee (Tom Petty tribute).  Concerts start at 7:30 PM “on the grass” behind Woodbridge High School.  Woodbridge Wednesday concerts return to the Parker Press Park stage on June 27 with performances every Wednesday night at 7:30 PM.  Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends!  Local Band Thursday kicks-off their hometown concert season with local musicians and their bands on June 28 at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM. Second Friday Jazz musicians take the stage at 7:30 PM from Eric LeGrande Park in Avenel Station Village. Country Sunday returns to the Parker Press stage every Sunday night at 6:00 PM with the biggest Country-Western bands in the area.   The cost of admission to the Mayor’s Summer Concerts is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We Feed Woodbridge Food Bank. Check out the full Mayor Summer Concert line-up on the Township Web Page at: www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us.

Iselin Branch Library Celebrates its 50th Anniversary on Tues., June 19th

Join the Woodbridge Public Library in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Iselin Branch Library on Tues., June 19.  The kick-off begins at 1:00 PM with the JFK High School Marching Band, followed at 2:00 PM with Mayor John E. McCormac cutting the ribbon and welcoming all to the newly renovated Iselin Branch Library. Events scheduled throughout the day include Teen Time Crafts at 2:30; a vocal performance by the Manjari School of Performing Arts at 4:00; and Indian Folk and Classical Dance by performers from Arudhra saai Natyashala. At 6:00 PM, a dedication of “Entwined” a photographic installation celebrating the history of cooperation between the Iselin Branch Library and the Woodbridge Garden Club will take place. Evening events include a discussion led by acclaimed novelist Rakesh Satyal and book signing followed by a reception with appetizers. Visit the Library Calendar at www.woodbridgelibrary.org or call 732-634-4450 for more information about the Iselin Branch Library’s 50th Anniversary celebration.    



Walk the Woodbridge Wild at Oros Park on Sat., June 23rd

Greenable Woodbridge leads a Walk in the Woodbridge Wild at Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve in Avenel on Sat., June 23. Explore the Wildlife Preserve on a guided bird walk to see (and hear) birds in a variety of habitats. The Oros Wildlife Preserve is a birding hot spot with over 160 species reported on ebird.com. Birders of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Binoculars will be provided.  Walks in the Woodbridge Wild are sponsored by M&T Bank and Bayshore Recycling. The walk & explore tour starts at 10:00 AM from the Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve located at Omar Avenue in Avenel. Register by email or phone to secure a space: Eileen.caggiano@ywp.woodbridge.nj.us or call 732-596-4047.

Independance Day Fireworks Blast Off on July 3rd 

FIREWORKS OVER THE WOODBRIDGE WATERFRONT!!!  CELEBRATE AN EVENING DEDICTED TO AMERICA AND HER HEROS ON TUES., JULY 3 AT ALVIN P. WILLIAMS MEMORIAL PARK ON THE SEWAREN WATERFRONT. 
The annual Woodbridge Township Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks display get underway on Tues., July 3 when gates open at 4:00 PM at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront.  The Independence Day festivities kick-off with live music by THE TIME MACHINE With Special Guests Good to Go followed by the incredible "Bringing the Night to Life" fireworks display choreographed to music. Alvin P. Williams Park will be closed during the day to allow for the fireworks set-up.  Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged.  There is no reserved seating and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park. Run for Pizza on July 11th... Sign-Up Today!!!

Woodbridge is on the run... for pizza! The Mayor's Wellness Campaign, The Club at Woodbridge and Wegmans sponsor the annual Woodbridge Run for Pizza on Wed., July 11, 2018.  Sign-up today for the 4-mile run thru Alvin P. Williams Park and the Sewaren waterfront.  Celebrate at the finish line with pizza provided by local restaurants. Prizes awarded to the top three overall female and male runners and the top three male and female runners in each age group.  Register before July 9 for only $25.00 ($20.00 USATF-NJ members).  Race Day Registration: $30.00.  Corporate and Team Entries welcome! Run for Pizza is a USATF New Jersey 500 Point Event.  Proceeds benefit the Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports.  See you at the finish line! After the run head over to Tanzman Park (across from the NJT Train Station) for the Local Band Thursday concert at 7:30 PM.
