We're putting the final touches on an exciting line-up for the Mayor's Summer Concert series:  Monday Night ‘Doo Wop & Oldies!’   Tribute Band Tuesday!  Woodbridge Wednesday concerts at Parker Press Park!  Local Band Thursday at Tanzman Park.  Friday Jazz in Avenel!  Country Sunday at Parker Press Park!  Music-On-Main Street!  Tooling Around the Township ‘Builds & Repairs’ on April 28.  Plan to shop the Summer Farmers Market.  Don’t forget about the Barron Arts Center’s concerts, exhibits and the annual BarronFest Art Festival.  Taste of Woodbridge arrives in October... and there is much, much more to come.

Easter Bunny “Hops” To Parker Press Park

Here Comes Peter Cottontail!!!  The Woodbridge Township Easter “Eggstravaganza” “Hops” to Parker Press Park on Saturday.  Pictures with the Easter Bunny from 10:30 AM to Noon.  One Day!!!  One Location!!!  One fun-filled Easter celebration for Woodbridge Township residents and families!!

And, don’t forget the 13th Annual Easter Bonnet Parade & Easter Egg Hunt (hosted by the Colonia Business Community and the Corner newspaper) on Sat., March 31, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Colonia Middle School.  ($5.00 Donation per Child.  Adults Free.)  Prizes awarded for the Funniest... Most Creative...and Best Looking Easter Bonnet or Hat!!!  Games.  Prizes.  Easter Baskets.  Music.  Vendors.  Easter Bunny Face Painting.  Sparkee the Somerset Patriot Mascot & Freddy the Talking Fire Truck.  And, don’t forget to bring a can... or two... or three... of non-perishable food to help “We Feed Woodbridge” bolster Township food pantries

April Is Youth Month.  Bigger & Better Than Ever!!!

April is “Youth Month”... the time of year when we celebrate our youth!!!  Youth-oriented activities get underway on April 1 with the Woodbridge Police Department (WPD) accepting applications for this summer’s ever-popular Junior Police Academy and going right through the hotly-contested Gladiator Games between the Evergreen Center’s Youth and Senior members on April 30.

Big Wheels

“Big Wheels Day” is set for Wed., April 4 at Woodbridge Center Mall.  Visit the Barron Arts Center and explore the extraordinary “Student Works” art exhibit (April 2 – 16).  Celebrate National Library Week (April 8-14) and explore the many interactive events and programs at the Woodbridge Public Library and the Henry Inman, Fords & Iselin Branch libraries.  Explore Elementary School Day at the Evergreen Youth Center (Wed., April 25).  Sign-up for “Playful Painting” - an 8-week children’s painting class with easy-to-follow instruction at the Woodbridge Artisan Guild Gallery (WAG).  Explore special “Youth Month” events all month long at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC).  In all, more than 60 events geared to Woodbridge Township young people will take place at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), Barron Arts Center, Parker Press Park and Township schools, libraries, parks and playgrounds.

Earth Day

SPECIAL YOUTH MONTH HIGHLIGHT – SAT., APRIL 21 

Plan to be at the WCC for the annual Earth/Arbor & Multi-Cultural Day Festival featuring exhibits, food, dance, music and cultural performances presented by residents and neighbors representing more than a dozen different cultures and ethnicities that live and work in Woodbridge.  And, this year’s Earth/Arbor Day celebration includes “green” displays by environmental companies and local businesses and FREE give-away’s of tree seedlings, flower seeds, and other “green” items (while supplies last).

The Earth/Arbor Day festival also includes information on the importance of recycling, energy-saving seminars and information and a special Earth Day program for children.  At 11:30 AM, the Woodbridge Environmental Commission celebrates Arbor Day with the planting of blossoming Redspire Pear trees along Community Center Drive – an annual event that signifies the important role trees play in keeping the Township environment clean and smog-free.
