“Season of Giving” Food Drive Continues at WB Holiday Events

Santa and Mrs. Clause in the Christmas Parade

The “Season of Giving” food drive is underway at all of the WB holiday events, concerts, and programs.  More than ever, we are seeking food donations for the Woodbridge Township food pantries that provide for the hungry throughout the holiday’s and into the New Year.  We have set a goal to collect at least 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food for the ‘Season of Giving’ holiday food drive by the end of the year - food that will be distributed by our local food pantries as they work to ensure that Township residents receive much needed supplies.  I would like to once again encourage our always generous Township residents and visitors to donate a can… or two… or three… of non-perishable food to help neighbors and families experience a healthy and happy holiday.

The Barron Arts Center Holiday Train Show & Exhibit is “on track” until December 30 (closed on Dec. 25 & 26.)

Barron Arts Center Model Train Display

The BAC Holiday Train display has become the singular “stop” for the ‘Season of Giving’ food drive.  If you are stopping by to see the incredible “Holiday Express”...  please don’t forget to drop-off a food donation.  You’ll be glad you did!!

Woodbridge Community Players Announce Curtain Call

The Woodbridge Community Players (WCP) – a summer stock theatre group of local actors and actresses – are looking for talent!!!  Auditions are scheduled for January 4 & 6, 2017 for the Summer performance of “West Side Story.”  Stay tuned to the WB News or the WCP FaceBook at: www.facebook.com/wcyp.inc or www.WoodbridgeCommunityPlayers.org for information on try-outs, auditions, performance dates and tickets.

WCYP Needs Patrons:  The work of the WCP does not end with the final curtain call for “West Side Story” in July!!!  What many theatre-goers may not realize is how costly a stage production can be - just the rights to a play or Broadway musical show can run more than $5,000…add to that, costs for lighting, sound, scenery, costumes and props, and you’ll understand why the WCP needs your help to produce shows the entire community can be proud of.  That’s why we’re asking Township residents to support the Woodbridge Community Players by signing on as a Patron.  To support the WCP and to learn how you can be a “Patron of the WCP” go to: www.WoodbridgeCommunityPlayers.org
