Happy Thanksgiving!!! It’s our hope that everyone is “Home-For-The-Holiday” and able to share the bounty of the season with family and friends. Residents without the where-with-all to have a Thanksgiving dinner are invited to attend the Annual Thanksgiving Day Friendship Luncheon graciously served by Township Volunteers, Friends and Neighbors. The Thanksgiving Day Friendship Luncheon is served on Thurs., Nov. 24, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at St. Andrews Church, Parish Hall, N. Madison Avenue, Avenel. Whether you are single, a couple, or a family, all are welcome to share a Thanksgiving Luncheon. There is NO CHARGE for the luncheon – however, the Luncheon Volunteers would appreciate registration. “This Ain’t No OZ” ~ A Musical Holiday Adventure for Children & Families

Kick-off the Holiday season with the FREE performance of “A Holiday Adventure: This Ain’t No Oz”... a musical interactive stage production for children and families produced by Jane McLaughlin and the European School of Dance with narration by Mayor John E. McCormac. “A Holiday Adventure” takes the stage on Sat., Nov. 26 at the Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School (525 Barron Ave.) Doors Open at 2:00 PM. Show begins at 2:30 PM.

The Woodbridge Public Library (WPL) and the Sansone-Woodbridge Military Veteran & Spouse Employment Assistance Center are hosting a “Job Search Workshop for Veterans & Spouses” on Wed., Nov. 30, 2016 at the Woodbridge Main Library (1 George Frederick Plaza, Woodbridge) from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. Military Service members, National Guard, Reserve, Veterans and Spouses from Woodbridge and Middlesex County are encouraged to attend to learn all about the Job & Career Accelerator Program – a FREE service from the WPL. Owe a Library fine on a long overdue book, periodical or video??? You can satisfy that debt with a nonperishable food item (instead of cash) for the “We Feed Woodbridge” Food Bank. The WPL is offering amnesty during the week of Nov. 20-26... So now is the time to come-in and settle the debt on that long overdue library item with payment of a nonperishable food item (one non-perishable food item for each overdue item.) The WPL is also looking for community input and comment on how they can improve and upgrade library services and programs.
