Woodbridge Permits for Yard, Garage Sales Available
|
March 31, 2005
Permits for Woodbridge Township residents planning to hold a garage or yard sale are now available at the Municipal Clerk’s Office.
Garage and yard sales are regulated by a 1994 Township ordinance stating that a resident or family is limited to three sale permits a year at the same residential property. There is no charge for the permit. New goods are prohibited from being sold.
Sales can be held for a maximum of three days total, consecutive or otherwise, including rain dates. They cannot begin earlier than 8 a.m. or last later than 5 p.m.
In addition, sticking signs on utility poles to advertise garage and yard sales is in violation of a Township ordinance that prohibits the posting of notices, flyers or posters on lampposts, utility poles, trees, buildings or other features of the public streetscape such as traffic lights, mail boxes or trash cans.
For information, call the Municipal Clerk’s Office at (732) 602-6007.
