WOODBRIDGE – Wal-Mart will herald its grand opening in Woodbridge with a hefty round of Grand Opening Grants.

“Wal-Mart believes that to work in the community, you need to give to the community,” says Carol Wiegand, Community Coordinator of the Woodbridge store.

Adds Mayor Frank G. Pelzman, “We are always glad when an employer takes an avid interest in helping the community. These are grass-roots groups that positively impact thousands of people a year. Wal-Mart’s recognition of their service role is fitting and timely.”

Wal-Mart has several grant-giving cycles throughout the year in addition to the Grand Opening Grants. For information call Carol Wiegand at 732-826-4652.
