Mayor’s Town Meeting Set for Mar. 29 in Woodbridge

Mar. 22, 2006

Mayor Pelzman, dept. heads meet public to share ideas about Township agenda

Mayor Frank G. Pelzman believes the best way to find out what the residents of Woodbridge think about their Township is to ask them.

At the Mayor’s Town Meeting this Wednesday, Mar. 29, from 7-9 p.m. at Woodbridge Community Center, 600 Main Street, residents will be able to speak directly to the Mayor during a discussion of the Township’s present agenda and future goals.

“We have held several town meetings and have always received valuable information and positive input from residents,” says Mayor Pelzman. “The town meeting is an excellent forum for exchanging ideas that may ultimately benefit the community.”

The evening will begin with the Mayor offering an overview of Township activities and updates on programs and services. The floor is then open for questions and comments from the audience. Directors of Township departments will be present to give insight into their operations.

“The town meeting is a chance for residents to get to know their municipal officials and learn more about the day-to-day process of how government works to get things done in the community,” says the Mayor.

It is also a chance for the Mayor to thank residents for their role in helping make Woodbridge, now the state’s fifth-largest municipality, an economically vital area poised for additional growth. “In a time of constrained budgets and rising costs, we are fortunate to have strong public-private partnerships that help us achieve our goals.”
