Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County Freeholders Present Free Food, Family Films
The popular waterfront attraction “Sewaren Summerfest” returns for another year, as Woodbridge Township and the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders present free food and movies at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park in Sewaren, Mayor Frank G. Pelzman has announced.
“Our annual Movies-in-the-Park series is an excellent outdoor activity for families,” says Mayor Pelzman. “It is a town picnic in one of the nicest park facilities in the county.”
The barbecue-style food provided by Royal Albert’s Palace begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the feature film showing at 8:30 p.m. The family-oriented films scheduled are:
August 10: Shrek II
August 17: Are We There Yet?
August 24: A Cinderella Story
Sewaren Summerfest is presented in conjunction with the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee of Woodbridge Township. “The students on the Committee chose the movies, and they volunteer at the events,” says Woodbridge Council Vice President Patricia Osborne, who serves as Township liaison to the Committee. “This is one more way of bringing the community together.”
