Concert-Goers Reminded to Bring Donations on Non-Perishable Food
items to Support Township Food Pantries
Woodbridge Twsp . - Mayor John E. McCormac
announced that the 2007 Mayor’s Summer Concert
Series will present The Infernoson Mon., Aug. 13 at
7:30 p.m . The free Monday evening concert
performances take place through Aug. 27 in the meadow
behind Woodbridge High School. The Mayor’s Summer
Concert Series is sponsored by Sansone’s Route 1 Auto
Mall, ShopRite, The Woodbridge Center and the
Township of Woodbridge .
The Infernos, a diverse musical group with a repertoire
spanning big band to Motown and jazz, feature ex-
Commodore vocalist Kenny Simmons and former
Dupress keyboardist Bobby Wells fronting a
powerhouse 12-piece band. Additionally, finalists from
the 2007 Woodbridge Idol contest perform prior to the
main acts.
The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series and entertainment
program is free… c oncert-goers are encouraged to
bring canned goods and non-perishable food items for
donation to Township food banks. Concert goers
bringing non-perishable food items receive chances to
win special prizes… so bring more than one food
item to the concert each Monday.
The 2007 Mayor’s Summer Concert line-up includes:
- August 20 ~ Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge
- August 21 ~ The Duprees
- August 27 ~ The Fabulous Greaseband
