Woodbridge Township Parks & Recreation Department is accepting team applications through March 17 for both men’s and women’s divisions of the 2006 Adult Slo-Pitch Softball League.

Teams are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. To receive a team application call (732) 596-4047.

“Exercise and sports are a vital part of a healthy adult lifestyle,” says Mayor Frank G. Pelzman . “We are pleased to have the Township assist in supporting recreational activity that benefits a wide cross-section of the community.”

With more than 100 teams, the Township of Woodbridge has one of the largest adult softball leagues in New Jersey. According to the Amateur Softball Association, the sport’s national governing body headquartered in Oklahoma City, nearly four million Americans participate in organized softball leagues each year on more than 245,000 teams.
