Mayor cites ongoing need for public safety readiness
Woodbridge Township has received a $26,277 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to purchase new computers and additional equipment for the Township Police Department, Interim MayorJoseph F. Vitale announced today.
The funds come from the USDOJ’s Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program that allows states and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime and to improve the criminal justice system.
“We appreciate the federal commitment toward helping us upgrade our public safety equipment readiness,” says Mayor Vitale. “Grants of this kind greatly benefit our residents by making sure our police have the best response technology available.”
