Woodbridge Dedicates Park to Late Mayor Pelzman |

Woodbridge Township will show its appreciation for late mayor Frank G. Pelzman by re-naming a park in his honor, Interim Mayor Joseph F. Vitale has announced.
Avenel Park at Tappen Street and West Park Avenue in Avenel will be re-named Mayor Frank G. Pelzman Memorial Park at Avenel at a special dedication ceremony Oct. 19 at 1:30 p.m.
The ceremony will feature a performance by Avenel Street School 4 & 5 Chorus and the unveiling of a new sign by master craftsman Peter Catelli.
“Frank Pelzman was a great supporter of the outdoors, of sports and of youth activities,” says Mayor Vitale. “This is a heartfelt expression of gratitude for all that he did for our community during his many years of public service.”
DIRECTIONS :
From south: -- Route 1 North to Tappen Street. (Bud’s Hut Restaurant).
-- Right (east) on Tappen (park is 3 blocks east on the right).
From north: -- Route 1 South to Avenel Street.
-- Left (east) on Avenel Street. to West Park Avenue (traffic light).
-- Right (south) on West Park Avenue to the end ( Tappen Street).
-- Right (west) on Tappen Street. (park on left)
