WHAT: WOODBRIDGE SWEARS IN 7 NEW POLICE
WHEN: TODAY – Wednesday, May 31, 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Council Chambers, Town Hall, 1 Main Street, Woodbridge
Seven officers will be added to the Woodbridge Township Police Department, Mayor Frank G. Pelzman and Police Chief William Trenery have announced.
The officers will be sworn in Wednesday, May 31 at 3 p.m. in Council Chambers.
“I welcome these men and women to the finest police department in the state,” says Mayor Pelzman. “They will make our fully accredited department even stronger and become part of the proud tradition of the Woodbridge Police Department.”
The new officers are:
-- Michael Agosta, 31, Woodbridge
-- Stephen Botti, 27, Sewaren
-- Bryan Jaremczak, 27, Woodbridge
-- Andrew Lyszyk, 27, Fords
-- Lukasz Pepkowski, 23, Menlo Park Terrace
-- Brian Vella, 30, Menlo Park Terrace
-- Matthew Ventre, 33, Avenel
The new officers bring the department total to 206. “These new officers are replacing retirees,” says Chief Trenery. “And we will be adding to our department’s work force during the rest of this year.”
