Woodbridge Children’s Librarian Appointed to Federal Committee Post
Susan Fichtenberg, Children’s Librarian at Woodbridge Main Library, has been appointed to an Institute of Museum and Library Services committee post, Mayor Frank G. Pelzman has announced .
The Institute of Museum and Library Services is an independent federal agency with a mission to support the nation's 15,000 museums and 122,000 libraries.
Ms. Fichtenberg’s committee is charged with designing outcome-based measurements for summer reading programs at public libraries. She is the coordinator of the Woodbridge Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Club.
“Susan Fichtenberg will bring a wealth of experience to her new task,” says Mayor Pelzman. “The Woodbridge Library Summer Reading Club is one of the strongest in the nation.”
Adds Library Director John Hurley, “We are very pleased that one of our Township librarians has been accorded this honor.”
