Mayor cites ongoing commitment to improve school pedestrian safety
Mayor Frank G. Pelzman has announced that Woodbridge Township has applied to Keep Middlesex Moving, Inc. for a Transportation Demand Management Grant to enhance safe walking routes for school children.
The Township seeks funding to extend the sidewalk near School 19 in Menlo Park Terrace. The proposed walkway will create an additional safe route for students presently walking to school, says Mayor Pelzman.
“We greatly appreciate Keep Middlesex Moving making these grants possible,” says Mayor Pelzman. “We are always seeking ways to improve traffic flow throughout the Township, and we are especially concerned with the safety of our children walking to and from school.
Keep Middlesex Moving, Inc. is a non-profit transportation management association that sponsors a range of programs designed to improve mobility, reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in Middlesex County.
