Mayor John E. McCormac announced that Avenel artists Rosie and Gary Singalewitch will exhibit and demonstrate their art at the July 7 Woodbridge Farmers’ Market at the Town Hall parking lot, 1 Main Street, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
The weekly Farmer’s Market features New Jersey farmers selling “Jersey Fresh” produce, flowers, seafood, bread, honey, desserts, and other unique and healthy items. The Saturday Farmer’s Market is sponsored by Woodbridge Township in conjunction with the New Jersey Council of Farmers and Communities.
Rosie Singalewitch is an art teacher at Our Lady of Peace School in Fords and winner of numerous art awards. She will demonstrate the technique of tole decorative painting and watercolor painting. Gary Singalewitch is a skilled comic book artist and graphic illustrator.
“The response to the Farmers’ Market has been incredible so far,” said Mayor McCormac. “It’s become a community gathering spot and a focal point for all the exciting new things happening in downtown Woodbridge.”
The Woodbridge Farmers’ Market runs each Saturday from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. through Oct. 27. Free parking is available at the NJ Transit parking lots near Town Hall.
