Woodbridge Sponsors Town Hall Tree Lighting Dec. 6

Permanent Christmas Tree Planted in front of 9/11 Memorial

Woodbridge Township will kindle the Holiday spirit with its annual Town Hall Tree Lighting on Monday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.

The ceremony will take place in front of Woodbridge Town Hall at 1 Main Street and feature entertainment by the School 27 4 th & 5 th Grade Chorus. Refreshments will be served on the 2 nd floor atrium of Town Hall following. The event is free and open to the public.

“The lighting of our Christmas tree is always a delightful event, filled with all the joy and excitement of the holidays,” says Mayor Frank G. Pelzman. “I invite our residents to join us and be part of the celebration.”

For years Woodbridge has had a Town Hall tree lighting event, but the tree was temporary and would be removed after the holidays. “The location of the new permanent tree in front of the 9/11 Monument is ideal,” says Mayor Pelzman. “It brings renewed attention to the monuments we have erected around Town Hall to honor our veterans and other community members of note.”

Funding for the 12-foot spruce was donated by Woodbridge Center; the tree was provided by Rising Up Floral and Garden Center.
