To Target “Senior Pedestrian Safety” During Senior Month

 New Senior Pedestrian Crossing Signs to be Posted Near Senior Centers and Residences… Signs to Serve as High Visibility Effort to Reduce Speeding Near Senior Communities…

WHAT: Woodbridge Township Mayor John E. McCormac and Council President Brenda Velasco will announce details of the “Senior Pedestrian Crossing” traffic sign program at a press conference outside the Greiner Senior Tower and Residence on Tues., May 22.

 Woodbridge Township received grant funding from the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety to erect new “Senior Crossing” signs in areas where traffic poses a danger to senior residents crossing the street. The signs are geared to attract motorist attention and to reduce speeding and save lives in senior communities.
