Municipal Services Available with More Convenient Hours of Operation… Town Hall Open Every Tuesday till 6:30 P.M. Beginning Jan. 2, 2007 |
“I recognize that for many residents, it’s just not possible to get to Town Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. So, to make government a little more responsible, convenient, and helpful, we’ve extended business hours to 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Hopefully, the added hours will make it easier for residents to conduct business at Town Hall -- it’s called making government work for the taxpayer,” Mayor McCormac said.
In announcing the extended hours of operation, Mayor McCormac noted that m unicipal government should operate more like a business -- consumer-friendly, convenient hours, effective customer relations, and cordial service. Mayor McCormac said that most municipal services, such as applying for and/or obtaining various permits and licenses, making tax and other payments, voter registration, and police services will be available during the extended hours of operation.
According to Mayor McCormac the Municipal Clerks Office/Office of Municipal Registrar, Police Department, Department of Planning & Development, Municipal Court, and Health Department w ill be open and conducting business each Tuesday until 6:30 p.m. Available services include:
