Woodbridge Hosts Safety-Centered “Bike Rodeo” Sept. 9

Woodbridge Township will host a free Bike Rodeo on Sept. 9, Interim Mayor Joseph F. Vitale has announced.

The bicycle safety seminar is designed for children ages 5-13 and is conducted by representatives from State Farm Insurance. The Bike Rodeo is free, but participants must pre-register by Sept. 5 by calling (732) 855-0600 ext. 5024.

The Woodbridge Township Bike Rodeo takes place from 10-11 a.m. Sept. 9 at the Woodbridge Health Department Parking Lot , George Frederick Plaza, behind the Main Library. The first 25 registrants will receive a free bicycle helmet.

The Bike Rodeo teaches basic bike safety techniques and offers bike inspections to ensure the bike size is appropriate for child's height and age. Riding skill level is determined by having children maneuver through a checkpoint riding course.
