Woodbridge Township and the Woodbridge Interfaith Clergy Council will hold an Interfaith Memorial Service to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Interim Mayor Joseph F. Vitale has announced.

“This service will serve as our way of honoring those who tragically lost their lives during these attacks while also remembering the strength and resolve of our community in the days following September 11, ”

says Mayor Vitale. “We invite anyone interested in sharing a time of reflection and prayer to join us.”

Woodbridge Township lost nine residents in the September 11 attacks. In 2002 the Township 9/11 Memorial Committee constructed a permanent memorial in front of Town Hall to honor their memory.
