Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Mayor's Advocacy Committee for Education (MAC-E) to energize and support a partnership between the local business community, Woodbridge Township schools, and the Mayor's administration. The commission views its work as an effective means to impact and enhance the academic experience of our district's students.

The MAC-E pledges to be effective advocates in broadening the educational experience of our district's students by presenting them with options for real world career opportunities and informing them of the skills necessary to productively and successfully participate in the processes and procedures needed in the modem workplace.

The MAC-E intends to utilize business professionals, administrators from higher education and parent groups to promote the quality of education received in Woodbridge Township. These goals will be met through fundraising events, mentoring activities, student assemblies and support programs that encourage a strong work ethic, academic excellence, self-esteem, and personal growth of participating students.

Ernest Dubay Elementary and Middle School Track Meets in May of 2011

The Colonia/Woodbridge Corner, a local newspaper dedicated to community topics and advertisement for local businesses, has agreed to sponsor the Annual Ernest Dubay Elementary and Middle School Track Meets in May of 2011. WIth no elementary and no middle school sports programs in our township schools, this annual event engages dozens of student athletes and brings hundreds of students and their families out for a day of healthy competition and excercise as the 16 elementary schools and 5 middle schools compete in a number of events. Debbie Meehan, owner of the Colonia/Woodbridge Corner is concerned about the devastating
budget cuts and the impact on students across the Woodbridge Township School District and has pledged support for the Track Meets through financial sponsorship as well as volunteerism. For more information, contact Ezio Tamburello at the Woodbridge Township Board of Education.
