Solar Panel Installation
Welcome to the Woodbridge Township Building Department’s webpage for the installation of solar panels. Installing solar panels is a great way to help the environment and lower your electric bills. The process for installing solar panels on your home is no different than making any other home improvements to your property. Normal permits and inspections are required. The process does not take longer than any other home improvement project.
How to Get Started?
When adding solar panels to your roof, it is necessary to know if your roof can support the weight of the installation. You must have a certification by a professional stating that your roof can support the installation. Ask your solar installation company if they can provide a letter certifying your roof can support the installation. This certification is necessary for obtaining permits.
